DESCRIPTION: Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "Balcony", 8 day, spring driven brass movement gallery timepiece. Dial is signed: "LeForrest A Hall & Co., Boston".
CONDITION: Refinished oak in very nice condition. Original painted dial has some staining in the center and a small inpainted area in the center and at the winding arbor. Original hands. Movement is signed. A label on the back.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Gale Calendar Model 1", 8 day, time and strike spring driven brass movement calendar wall clock.
CONDITION: Rosewood and rosewood veneered case in nice condition in an old finish has an age crack in the upper door and small veneer piece missing on the cross strip just above the bottom door. Original painted dial has darkened a little from what looks to be a clear coating that has yellowed. Original hands and tablet. Partial label inside. The movement has recently been serviced. A copy of "Calendar Clocks" by Tran Du Ly is included.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Round Head Regulator No. 4" wall clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike brass movement and B. B. Lewis patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a rosewood veneered case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with an original finish. The original painted time dial appears to have had the lettering and numerals strengthened. The calendar dial is in excellent condition. The hands are all original. The interior case label is in good condition with some minor loss. The calendar door glass is original. The upper door glass may be replaced. The movement is signed.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn. Mantel Calendar Clock with a weight driven 8 day time and strike movement and a B. B. Lewis patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a rosewood veneered case.
CONDITION: The case, with an old finish, has several areas of veneer loss and several areas of joint separation. All three finials have some loss. The unsigned strap brass movement was produced earlier by S. C. Spring & Co. and later used by Welch, usually without rolling pinions. The original painted time dial is in good condition with some minor flaking in several areas. The original painted calendar dial is in excellent condition. All 3 calendar hands are original. The hour hand is period while the minute hand is new. The clear door glasses are replacements. A nearly identical example of this scarce model is in the collection of the American Clock & Watch Museum, Bristol, Conn.,.

DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Cary V.P." shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time, strike and alarm brass Patti movement in a rosewood and rosewood veneered case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with original finish. The original painted dial is in good condition with two small areas of loss. The hands are original. Original finial and case embellishments. The front door glass with stenciled design is original as are the two glass side panels. The glass center pendulum bob is original and in good condition.

DESCRIPTION: E.N. Welch, Forestville, Conn., Round Gothic or "Beehive" shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement in a rosewood veneered case with ripple front molding.
CONDITION: The refinished case is in very good condition with one small area of veneer loss on the lower left side of the case. The bottom front piece of ripple molding has been reattached to the case. The movement is signed. The hands are original. The original painted dial is in good condition with some wear and strengthening of the numerals. The upper door glass is original. The lower glass tablet is original with some restoration to the back side.
