DESCRIPTION:
J.C. Brown, Forestville Mfg. Co., Bristol, Conn., 8 day, fusee time and strike brass movement miniature OOG shelf clock.
CONDITION:
Refinished mahogany and rosewood veneered case in nice condition. The veneer on this case is unusual in that is not perpendicular to the ogee molding, but is laid in the direction of the wood grain. The Original painted dial is soiled and stained with some loss at the winding arbors and the mounting screws. Replaced wood strips that support the dial. Period hands with a repair to the hour hand. Movement is signed. Slightly dark label inside. Original frosted tablet is broken and repaired.
