DESCRIPTION:
Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Conn., "Mini Empire" shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement in a rosewood veneered case with boldly decorated faux tortoise shell columns with gilt caps and bases.
CONDITION:
The case is in very good condition with original finish. There are several small areas of veneer loss on the top section of the cornice. The painted dial appears original with later strengthening of the numerals. The hands are original. Both door glasses are original with some wear to the lower tablet.
