DESCRIPTION:
Brewster & Ingrahams, Bristol, Conn., 8 day, spring driven brass movement regulated by a pendulum gallery timepiece with name of F. B. Strong, Jeweler, Monroe, Mich.
CONDITION:
Refinished hardwood case has a small ding and a shrinkage crack at one of the case segments. A piece of the backboard where the hinge for the bezel is mounted is broken off and will need repair in order to reattach the bezel to the backboard. The painted wood dial is in nice condition for its age. Replaced hands are improper style and too short. This timepiece has an early version of the movement that was used in these gallery timepieces that was more robust with thicker plates. Clean label inside.
