DESCRIPTION:
J.C. Brown, Forestville Mfg. Co., Bristol, Conn., 8 day, time and strike spring driven brass movement ripple front sharp gothic or steeple shelf clock.
CONDITION:
Mahogany veneered case with remains of original finish has some roughness on the peak and damage at the left steeple block. The ripple molding is unusual and looks to be made up of individual components that were applied to a standard case. Repainted dial looks to be a replacement. Hour hand is period. Minute hand is a modern replacement. Original tablet has scattered loss.
