DESCRIPTION:
Unsigned Boston, Mass. large banjo regulator, possibly attibuted to Willard, 8 day, weight driven brass movement with maintaining power
CONDITION:
Refinished mahogany case in nice condition. The dial is "Simon Willard & Son", but it is a replacement. This timepiece is attributed to Willard as the movement has through bolts, shaped pillars and a T-bridge escapement. Both tablets are replaced as this type of regulator clock would have had black and gilt glasses. Original hands and a heavy bob with a gilt rod.
