DESCRIPTION:
Gents, Leicester, a GPO #36 MK6 master clock, rectilinear hardwood case with rounded corners and glazed door, movement with heavy cast iron back plate, fitted with two count wheels, and contacts at the top of the pendulum sending pulses at one, six, and thirty second intervals, pendulum with heavy cylindrical bob and Hipp toggle, and weight for fine timing, the inner left side of case with two brackets for retaining the pendulum rod while in transit
CONDITION:
case with with minor bumps, scrapes, and dings, top and bottom with scratches and gouges, left door stile warped, gap at upper left when closed, movement complete, count wheels with gummy oil, agate with notch for toggle good, needs service, pendulum rod with minor oxidation, all components for closing contacts and advancing count wheels present, pendulum bob with minor scuffs, retainers and screws for pendulum transport brackets missing. This clock shows no evidence of ever having had a dial.
