DESCRIPTION: Jahresuhrenfabrik, Triberg Germany, Anton Harder patent 400 day clock, year running, spring driven movement with torsion pendulum and deadbeat escapement and flat disc pendulum, roman numeral white enamel dial with patent numbers, all under glass dome.
CONDITION: brass base with a dull patina. Dial with patent dates is very good with two faint hairlines. Purple velvet on the top of the base is worn. Enamel dial with minute tick marks and no ring, and patent numbers in circle read "D. R. Patent 2437 R. L. Patent 2182" and "U. S. Patent 269052". Serial stamped on black plate reads "2274 / R". Very nice early disc pendulum. This model was marketed in the U.S. by the New Haven Clock Co. and shown in their 1886 trade catalog.
