DESCRIPTION:
J. Kaiser GmbH, Villingen, Germany, "Universe" 400-day clock, year running, time and moon phase, spring driven brass movement with metallic globe torsion pendulum, monochrome zodiac dial, silver chapter with polished brass numerals, brass hands, all under a glass dome.
CONDITION:
the clock is in good condition. Some discoloration of the protective lacquer on the base. Three dimensional moon has worn paint. Clock base with Kaiser trademark. Good dial and original glass dome. Suspension is complete. For details on this clock see Charles Terwilliger's "400 Day Clock Repair Guide" in which he writes that this " clock may go down in history as the best 400-day clock ever made."
