Lot#: 247

DESCRIPTION: Salem Bridge, Conn., 8 day, time and strike weight driven brass movement pillar and scroll shelf clock now with label of Richard Ward.
CONDITION: This clock has been put together from old parts. The case is from a wooden movement pillar & scroll as evidenced by its height (shorter than Salem Bridge P&S clocks) and inner rails with nail holes to pin in a wood movement. The period mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old finish has some damage to the right tip on the bottom skirt. Original scrolls and feet. The original dial for the Salem Bridge movement has small loss in the center area. Original tablet has scattered loss. Period hands. Clean label inside. Good early style Salem Bridge movement, but not the type made by Ward, has been added to this case with a backboard and label are from a later Ward clock.
