DESCRIPTION:
Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Parlor Calendar No. 4" with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement with a R. T. Andrews patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a walnut case.
CONDITION:
The case is in excellent condition with one very small area of veneer loss, There is some original finish remaining. Both the original painted time dial and the calendar dial are in very good condition with minor paint loss at the mounting holes. The cathedral gong has a home made base. The clock originally had a cup bell strike with the bell was mounted on a small wood block attached to the backboard. The hands are original. The movement is signed. Both door glasses are original. The calendar drum papers appear original and are slightly darkened. The interior case labels are in excellent condition.
