Clocks- 2 (Two): (1) Howard & Davis, Boston, Mass., "Watch Clock", softwood case with simple molded base, inset panels in base and trunk door and molded cornice, roman numeral white painted metal dial, brass 8 day timepiece movement with trapezoidal plates and turned pillars, ebonized wooden pendulum rod, damascened, brass clad, cast iron pendulum bob, and brass clad weight, c1860; (2) E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., hanging watch clock similar to the No. 26, rectilinear walnut case with molded cornice and applied crest, the door with molded glazed aperture for viewing the time recorder mechanism, roman numeral white painted metal dial, damascened 8 day timepiece movement, wooden pendulum rod with damascened brass clad pendulum bob, and cast iron weight, c1875.
CONDITION:
(1) The case has been refinished and the grain painting is gone, grain painting remains inside the case, two partial labels inside the case, no time recorder mechanism, good dial with worn lettering, large impressive movement. (2) Case nicely refinished, no time recorder mechanism is present, the dial has been repainted. Dimensions are for the standing clock (1)
