Herschede Clock Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, early 20th century tall clock with mahogany, stained dome top case with cavetto molded cornice on compressed ball feet and break arch door with beveled glasses, arabic numeral composite dial with silvered chapter ring, pierced and engraved gilt spandrels and dial center, moon phase display in the arch, and fancy blued steel hands, 8 day, three train movement chiming on tubes, and sounding Westminster, Whittington, or Canterbury quarters, faux three jar mercury pendulum, and three polished brass weights.
CONDITION:
case with minor bumps and dings, base of left column with minor loss, upper right cornice with small loss at back, glasses good, dial good, hands with minor oxidation, strike and chime train are complete but in need of service.
