DESCRIPTION:
Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, weight driven, wood movement off-center pillar & scroll shelf clock.
CONDITION:
Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old finish has a small repair at the upper left corner and at the key escutcheon on the door. Original painted dial has the gessoed areas on the spandrels and the center area restored and some minor inpainting. The scrolls and feet look nicely restored. The minute hand is period and repaired, but is from a later wood clock. Replaced tablet. Nice set of period finials.
