AUCTION : 0519

Lot#: 61

DESCRIPTION: Ithaca Calendar Clock Co., Ithaca, NY, "No. 2 Bank" hanging calendar clock, with a double weight driven timepiece movement, and H. B. Horton patented perpetual calendar mechanism, in a walnut case.
CONDITION: The case is in overall nice condition with some original finish. The case bottom shows signs of a runaway weight. The bottom finial is a replacement due to the damage caused by the weight damage as evidenced by the nails used to secure the sides of the case to the base. The movement has no maker's name. The two paper dials appear to be later replacements, and the time dial pan is new. The hour and minute hands are original. The calendar hand, correct in style, may be replaced. The calendar drum papers are original and nicely aged. The door glass is original. The nickel pendulum bob has several indentations. Overall, this clock is still a very impressive and scarce Ithaca model.
