DESCRIPTION:
E.C. Brewster, Bristol, Conn., 8 day, time and rack strike, spring driven, brass fusee movement round gothic or beehive shelf clock.
CONDITION:
Mahogany veneered case in an old finish in nice condition has chip on the right side of the base. Original painted dial not signed, has some minor stains, but is in otherwise nice condition. Original acid etched and cut glass tablet and original hands. Even though not signed, the movement is stamped "4236" which was done by E.C. Brewster in these clocks. Another good example of America's first production spring driven clock.
