DESCRIPTION:
Birge & Fuller, Bristol, Conn., steeple-on-frame shelf clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven brass movement with detached wood fusees in a rosewood veneer case with candle finials, painted metal dial with black steel hands.
CONDITION:
The mahogany veneered case in an old finish has some veneer repairs. The dial has some small paint losses and may be from a different clock. The movement is signed. The fusees will need to be restrung. Only a small fragment of the inner label remains. Original tablets have some background loss, especially the border of the upper tablet. Clear glass in the upper part of the door is modern. The wide wood rim of the right fusee is partially missing. Minute hand has been repaired.
