DESCRIPTION:
Bruneau Elve. de Motel, Paris, France, crystal regulator, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with visible Brocot escapement and two vial compensating pendulum in a glazed cast brass case on a white marble base with applied cast ornaments surmounted by a bird and snake, two-piece white enamel dial with roman numerals, blued steel Breguet style
CONDITION:
the rear beveled glass is missing completely. Side glasses are chipped. Front glass is fair, but out of its frame. The case has been polished to removed oxidation and very little gilding remains. The two vial compensating pendulum is intact and sound. White marble base and decorative elements are intact. The three remaining glasses are not installed and have been wrapped separately. The larger round Paris movement bears only numbers and no maker's mark. Movement needs cleaning, but is of excellent quality. When untouched and with original gilding, models such as this can fetch $5000. Our estimate reflects condition.
