DESCRIPTION:
William L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "Amphion" shelf clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a walnut case with burl accents, cut glass mirror panels in the case adjacent to and below the door, and matching cut glass pendulum bob.
CONDITION:
The case is in very good condition. The original finish may have had some clear coat added to it in spots. The paper dial is a replacement. The pendulum has a fancy cut glass bob with a star design. The door glass may be a replacement. The three cut glass mirror panels are in good condition. There is a partial rear label. The hands appear to be original. The movement, with intact stopworks, is signed.
