DESCRIPTION: A. Lavallee, Geneva, a lady's gold pocket watch with black enamel decoration, 15 jewels, stem wind and lever set, damascened nickel bar movement with lever escapement and uncut bimetallic balance in a 9-10 karat, engraved, hunting case with black enamel accents, roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, blued steel Breguet style hands, 40mm, 50. 5g TW.
CONDITION: CASE: Small, shallow dents; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Gilding worn from cuvette; Covers with gaps at band when closed; Front cover lift spring weak; Cover extends beyond 90 degrees when opened, front, 100 deg. ; Bow worn; Precious metal content tested. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, 10: 30 and seconds bit; Specks of dirt / dust. HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor marks and scratches on plate; Ratchet wheel nut with spot of oxide; Bright work with scratches and specks of oxide; Some screw heads with minor marring; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Not running, broken mainspring, will run with pressure on center wheel.
