DESCRIPTION: A Continental gold pocket watch with split pearls and enamel, now with a later movement, 11 jewel, key wind and set, gilt full plate English fusee movement with lever escapement in an 18 - 20 karat yellow gold and gilt pair case, the outer gilded and with glazed front and back, the inner with bezel set with pearls, the back with purple guilloche enamel and split pearl border, roman numeral white enamel dial with gold Breguet hands, 46mm, 85.1g TW
CONDITION: CASE: Outer with wear and losses to gilding; Front of outer with added claws to retain crystal; Inner with a few dings; Filing at hinge to trim joint pin; Crystal with minor scratches; Enamel with minor scratches; Bow with wear; Precious metal content tested. DIAL: Very good. HANDS: Hour replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Marks and fine scratches on plate; Small spot of corrosion; Dirty. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). The movement is a good fit and appears to have been made for this case.
