DESCRIPTION: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., an early 20th century grade "992" pocket watch, 16 size, 21 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, temperature and isochronism, two tone damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold screws, gold jewel settings, and whiplash micrometric regulator in a rose gold filled, screw back and bezel, open face bar over crown case, arabic numeral, outer red 5-minute markers, double sunk white enamel dial marked "Adjusted for Railroad Service 21 Jewels", blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #1657036
CONDITION: CASE: Band with small flat spot; Dings; Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Bow and crown with minor wear; Crystal cracked. DIAL: Very faint, short hairline at 2:30, otherwise very good. HANDS: Minor oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; A few fine scratches on balance cock; Minor gouging at barrel bridge screws; Scattered spotting; Fine scratch on ratchet wheel; Some steel components with specks of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
