DESCRIPTION: Angelus, Switzerland, a mid 20th century Angelus "Big Eyes" wrist chronograph, 17 jewels, manual winding, rhodium plated movement with lever escapement in a round stainless steel case with leather strap, arabic numeral, double sunk silver dial with 45 minute register at 3:00, constant seconds at 9:00, and blued steel syringe hands, serial #256507, 35.5mm
CONDITION: CASE: Very fine scratches; Minor dings; Lower outer corner of 7:00 lug with small flat; Back with very fine scratches; Pushers with losses to plating; Acrylic crystal; Strap with wear. DIAL: Minor spotting; Luminous compound darkened. HANDS: A few specks of oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Plates with cleanable discoloration; Some steel components with very fine scratches and minor oxide; Foot of chronograph operating lever spring with patch of rust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks); Low amplitude, needs service. COMPLICATION: Chronograph starts, stops and returns to zero; Occasionally stops when advancing minute counter.
