American Waltham Watch Co., Waltham, Mass., a late 19th century model 1883 "Crescent St." pocket watch, 18 size, 15 jewel, stem wind and lever set, adjusted, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold screws, gold jewel settings, and Church micrometric regulator in a 14 karat, yellow gold, engraved hunting case with scalloped band, and applied four color gold ornament, the front with shield surrounded by floral and foliate forms, the back with leaves and set with a single diamond, arabic numeral, single sunk, O'Hara multicolor enamel dial with Louis XIV hands, serial #4099044, 142.1g TW

CASE: Case has housed another movement; Small, shallow dent, front; Small, shallow dent back; Fine and very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches and culet mark on cuvette; Engraving with minor wear; Front cover with very minor gap at band when closed, crystal too high; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: A few hairlines. HANDS: Tarnish. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Balance cock foot with pin pricks; Regulator assembly with specks of oxide; Balance upper endstone setting with marring; Specks of dirt and dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
