DESCRIPTION: Switzerland, an early 20th century gold minute repeating pocket chronograph, 32 jewel, stem wind and lever set, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance in an 18 karat, rose gold hunting case with Jurgensen lips, engraved monograms on front and back covers, and engine turned cuvette, roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial with fifth seconds chapter at the periphery, plum colored steel Breguet style hands, 54mm, 142.1g TW
CONDITION: CASE: One minor dent in front and back covers; Band with one small, deep dent and a smaller, shallow dent; Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches and more significant case knife scratches on cuvette; Bow with wear and pushed slightly to one side; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: A few hairlines originating at the seconds bit and radiating out to 1 - 3:00. HANDS: Good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Marks, scratches, and pin pricks; Some chronograph components` with light abrasion; Very fine scratches on winding wheels; A few minor spots of oxide on winding wheels; Some levers and springs with scattered specks of oxide; Hammer with fine scratches and specks of oxide; Very dirty. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running; Setting lever screw broken, and so currently inoperable. COMPLICATION: Chronograph functions properly; Repeating functions properly with the exception of the strike at the hour; The watch strikes the correct hours, but also strikes one minute when no minutes have passed; Hours, quarters, and minutes otherwise functioning correctly.
