DESCRIPTION: Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Regulator No. 2" hanging clock in an oak case, roman numeral painted metal dial, spade hands, eight day weight driven time only movement with deadbeat escapement and maintaining power
CONDITION: case in an attractive old finish that is probably original with a later overcoat of shellac or varnish, rear edges of case with residual overpaint, especially on bottom bracket, bezel with a small surface abrasion at the nine position as well as a couple surface scratches at twelve and two with dark spot at bottom edge, light surface dings to bow tie, lower door and lower bracket moldings, original glasses, original painted dial in good condition with light circular surface scratches evident on the numerals, original pendulum has been repolished, original weight with light tarnish but no dings, movement recently cleaned, paper label inside with partial loss
