DESCRIPTION: Hampden Watch Co., Canton, Ohio, a late 19th century lady's gold hunting case pocket watch, 6 size, 15 jewel, stem wind and lever set, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance with gold screws in a 14 karat, yellow gold, reeded edge, engraved hunting case, roman numeral, single sunk O'Hara style multicolor enamel dial with blued steel open morning glory hands, serial #978112, 58.2g TW, with jewelers box
CONDITION: CASE: Shows extra case screw marks; Very shallow dent, front cover; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches and minor abrasion on inner surface of case; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Two cracks, originating at setting lever; Flake at center of seconds bit. HANDS: Good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; Very fine scratches on barrel; Fine scratches on balance cock; Sink surrounding center wheel pivot with scratches; Regulator with a few specks of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). Box dirty and with significant wear.
