American Waltham Watch Co., Waltham, Mass., an early 20th century model 1890 pocket watch with gold case, 6 size, 7 jewel, stem wind and set gilt plate movement with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance in a 14 karat, yellow gold, engraved hunting case with scalloped band, arabic numeral, outer red 5-minute markers, single sunk white enamel dial with blued steel spade hands, serial #12692410, 50.9g TW, with blue satin and velvet lined box
CONDITION:
CASE: Case has housed another movement; Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches and shallow dent on cuvette; Engraving with minor wear; Acrylic crystal; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Very fine scratches. HANDS: Hour with bend; Seconds with specks of oxide and loss to blue. MOVEMENT PLATES: Losses to plating and minor verdigris; A few small spots of corrosion; Very fine scratches on plate; Some steel components with minor oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). Box with wear and losses.
