DESCRIPTION: Elgin National Watch Co., Elgin, Illinois, a "B.W Raymond" grade 390 pocket watch with wind indicator, 21 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, temperature and isochronism, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold screws and diamond endstone, gold jewel settings, and micrometric regulator in a nickel, screw back and bezel open face case with gold buck on back, arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial with blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #15644585
CONDITION: CASE: Shows two extra case screw marks adjacent to case screws; Numerous small dents, dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Interior of case back with black staining, scratches, and punch marks from dent removal; Bow loose; Crown worn and with split shell. DIAL: Wind indicator with faint hairline and small chip. HANDS: Specks of oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; Scattered fine scratches on plate; Crown wheel and core with spot of oxide; Barrel bushing with speck of oxide; Regulator with spot of oxide; One case screw head with abrasion. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks); Wind indicator functional.
