DESCRIPTION: David Taylor, London, a mid 19th century lever fusee pocket watch, 19 jewels, key wind and set, gilt full plate movement with signed, numbered cap, lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance with diamond endstone in an 18 karat, yellow gold, engine turned and engraved hunting case signed "M&P", roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial with blued steel fleur de lys hands, serial #10269, 57.3mm, 161.5g TW
CONDITION: CASE: Dents; Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on dome; Engine turning worn smooth; Lacking rear cover lift spring; Bow with minor wear; Precious metal content marked, tested. DIAL: Faint hairlines. HANDS: Minor oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Barrel ratchet, pawl, balance stud and regulator with patches of oxide; A few screws with oxide and loss to color; Cap with fine scratches and gouge; Cap catch with oxide and pitting. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks); Cannon pinion very tight.
