DESCRIPTION: Ball Watch Co., Cleveland, Ohio, a Ball - Illinois grade 810 "Official Standard" pocket watch, 23 jewels, 16 size, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, temperature and isochronism, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold screws, gold jewel settings, and whiplash micrometric regulator in a white gold filled, screw back and bezel, engraved, open face Ball Model case, Canadian 24-hour arabic numeral, single sunk white enamel dial with blued steel Ball - Illinois hands, serial #B801056
CONDITION: CASE: Back with very shallow dent; Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; A few slightly more significant marks and scratches on case back; Very small spots of brassing on inside of bow and at the bottom of the case band; Crystal with minor scratches and edge flakes; Bow pivots freely; Crown with minor wear. DIAL: Very good. HANDS: A few very minor losses to blue, otherwise very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Minor marring at one barrel bridge screw; Balance cock foot with a few pin pricks; Winding wheels with fine scratches; Some steel components with very fine scratches; Center wheel with scratches and marring. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
